Anthony "Buzzy" Parent

December 18, 1946 - May 20, 2016

Anthony "Buzzy" Parent, 69, of Somerset, husband of Ann Marie (Bouffard) Parent, entered into rest Friday, May 20, 2016. He owned and operated the former J & B Volkswagen Auto Repair, Swansea.

He was a Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8500, and the Somerset and Fall River Rod & Gun Club.

Besides his wife of 47 years, he leaves siblings, Theresa Rousseau of Naples, FL, Freida Buckley of St. Pettersburg, FL, Antoinette Alty of Lynchburg, VA and Henry Parent of Martha's Vineyard and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Anthony P. and Freida (Plouff) Parent and the brother of the late Laura Ferreira.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main Street, Fall River. Interment, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne

Visitation Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
