A visit to Somerset is always like a return to home.
The many visits to friends and classmates will always be remembered. I cannot stress this enough.
I started my career in computers in 1968 at the
L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro. This is company that
made our class rings. I moved from Somerset to Attleboro during the arab oil embargo. I then had a 1969 Z-28 Camaro that couldn't go past a gas station with needing gas. Those long waits in what seemed like a unending gas line was very
frustrating and a move to Attleboro made a big
difference. Around this time I met Maria who would be my future wife. We were married in 1973.
Our childen soon followed and we moved to our house in North Attleboro where we have since remained. My son now lives in Somerset where I
lived. He followed my footsteps in the computer field. My daughter and son-in-law live in Woonsocket where they have a funeral business which is run by my son-in-law. My daughter works with the Navy in Newport as a research librarian.
