James F. Dorsey, of Avon, died June 11, 2006

James Francis Dorsey, a resident of Avon since 1996, died June 11, 2006 from pancreatic cancer. He was 59. After graduating from St. Anselm's College in New Hampshire, Dorsey pursued a career in advertising and marketing, working for Citibank in New York City and in McCann Erickson's Honolulu office.

Most recently, he served on the board of directors for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. While in Colorado, Dorsey pursued his passion for reading and writing, family and friends say.

He is survived by his aunt, Dorothy Ringer of Somerset, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Dorsey's memory to: Vail Valley Home Care and Mountain Hospice, 320 Beard Creek Rd., Edwards , Co 81632.
