Barbara I. (Hoffman) Banville, 70, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edmund Banville.

Barbara was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Jacob and Belia (Cohen) Hoffman. She was a graduate of Somerset High School class of 1964 and went on to attend Worcester State College earning an Associates Degree. Mrs. Banville worked as a commission secretary for the US Luggage Corporation, in Fall River, for over ten years, retiring in 1978. Barbara enjoyed reading and being with her family and friends.

Survivors are a son: Jason E. Banville of Somerset, two grandchildren; Jack and Jeorgia.

Her funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017, at 11:00 AM, in the Hathway Home for Funerals, 1913 Roberson Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne.
