Arnold F. Lacerda

Somerset, MA - Arnold F. "Arnie" Lacerda, 69, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the Husband of forty-six-years to Priscilla (Costa) Lacerda.Arnold was born in Dighton, the son of the late Edward and Marguerite (Stevens) Lacerda. He was a graduate of Somerset High School class of 1964. Arnie then worked for the Somerset Water Department for thirty-six years before retiring in 2007. Mr. Lacerda was a longtime umpire for the Somerset Little and Softball leagues for many years. Arnie was an avid Baltimore Colts fan, who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Tracie M. Martin and her husband Brian of Somerset, MA; two sons: Arnold F. "Arnie" Lacerda Jr. of San Francisco, CA: Kenneth W. Lacerda and his wife Dawn of Franklin, MA; four grandchildren: Brian Jr., Jacob, Gracie and Taylor; a brother: Kenneth Lacerda of Fall River, MA; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the nephew of the late William and Hilda Stevens. His funeral was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Burial was at Saint Patrick Cemetery Somerset
